The Gomal University (GU) is a public university in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Dera Ismail Khan is a small city in the Khyber Pahktunkwa province of Pakistan, situated around 230km northwest of Multan, Punjab.
The GU was established in 1974. The Act No. X of 1974 provides the constitutional establishment of the university as a public research university. The university has over 50 affiliated colleges and partners which allows staff and students to learn from and with people from across the world.
